#14195 Dally

Adoptable
Medium-size, Female, Adult Boxer x Mixed Breed,

Hi! My name is Dally and I arrived at my foster’s home on 10/13/24. I'm a Boxer mixed breed, around 1 year old and I weigh about 44 pounds. On the ride to my foster family’s home, I did great in the car.

My foster mom says I’m affectionate, goofy and jumpy, like all good boxers! And I really love to have my belly rubbed. I have not had any accidents in the house so my foster mom gives me a thumbs up on potty training!

I know how to sit , and I love playing with toys . If I’m outside, I’m likely to be enjoying a happy case of the zoomies but inside, I’m calm enough to come when called and I’m learning new commands like “stay,” “down” and “off.”

There are two dogs in my foster home who keep me company when my foster parents are home, and I'm good about sharing their toys with them.

My foster mom laughs at all the fun I have playing with my canine foster brother, who is around 2 years old and 32 pounds. I especially like playing tug-of-war with him. I'm very gentle with my canine senior foster sister.

I have good leash manners, whether I am wearing a harness or a Martingale collar but sometimes I might tug a bit to get a closer look at a pesky squirrel or chipmunk. If I see another dog, I'm interested but I don't get all barky and hyper. With my foster mom, I have walked up to three miles at a time out in the neighborhood.

I generally prefer being left alone in my foster family's laundry room over spending time in my crate. I like to chew my Kong and sleep on my comfy bed when I'm alone there for a few hours during the day, and my foster family says I'm a good girl for keeping the place neat and clean while they are out. I also have been sleeping well there overnight, and I am very happy to greet people every morning!

I love my humans but I’m not clingy, and I will be happy with a nice fleece blanket on the floor where I can hang out while keeping an eye on my peeps.

I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! This cuteness won’t be available for long!

Dally Dally is currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD.

All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.

This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner. This is very important because it means that while they may act one way in the foster’s home, you may experience something different in your home.
